Giveaway – Plant it Forward with Post It Brand

I am always looking for ways to make my community better for my family and my neighbours. Making green decisions whenever possible is one way of doing this. Companies like 3M Canada make this easy to do. Post It is currently running a promotion for Canadians where you can dedicate a tree to someone special and it will be planted in Canada. (up to 10, 000 trees) Now that is going Green Not only will you be helping plant a tree but you will also be entered to win a new LG washer and Dryer. Double score! See details below.
Post It also carries many products to help you make greener choices. In honour of Plant It Forward 3M Canada is offering one of you Canadian readers a green Post It prize pack.

Program Description

Canadians are invited to participate in Post-it^® Brand’s Plant it Forward Program.

By going to www.post-it.ca/PlantitForward, you can dedicate a tree to a friend, colleague or family member. You’re able to submit up to five dedications. Your friend, colleague or family member will receive your e-mail dedication message. For each dedication received, a tree is planted by 3M’s Post-it^® Products group in partnership with Tree Canada. There is no purchase necessary to participate in this program.

A maximum of 10,000 trees will be planted in 2011. These trees will be planted in disaster areas across Canada. In addition, five school yards across Canada will also receive trees as part of the Tree Canada’s “Greening Canada’s School Grounds” initiative.

Upon submitting a dedication, you can choose to enter a contest for a chance to win* a new LG washer and dryer by sharing the Plant it Forward program with up to five friends. Each unique e-mail address you enter represents a ballot in the contest. Friends will receive an e-mail from you with an invitation to also plant a tree by going to post-it.ca/PlantitForward. (E-mail addresses will not be used for any other purpose than to administer this program.)

With your help we can plant 10,000 trees in Canada and green five school yards. Thanks for making our country a better place to live.

*No purchase necessary. Contest closes May 31, 2011. Approximate retail value of prize is $2096. Open to residents of Canada over the age of majority. Odds of winning depend on total number of entries received. Click here for full rules.

Prize Pack Includes
The whole line of the Post-it Notes Brand’s Greener Notes consumer line which is made from recycled paper and plant-based adhesive. The line includes small 35 mm x 48 mm notes in the classic canary yellow colour (perfect for quick notes to jolt your memory!), colourful 3 in x 3 in notes that the kids will love, and the 4 in x 6 in lined notes (perfect for to-do lists!).
