At Burt's Bees, we don't waste our time — or yours — pretending to be something we're not. We prefer putting our energy into making the best natural personal care products out there to help you maximize your well-being.

We're proud that over half of our 150+ products are 100% natural! Still, we won't be satisfied until all of our products are 100% natural and we are currently aggressively pursuing this goal through reformulations and testing.

We label every product with a "natural bar." It's our way of helping you clearly identify the high level of natural ingredients used in our products.

Additionally, we use only natural colors in our products. Some of these include beta-carotene, chlorophyll, titanium dioxide and mica. These natural colors have been proven safe, unlike many artificial colors that have been banned by the FDA over the years. As far as fragrance components go, we use them only when absolutely necessary, and all of our fragrances are phthalate-free.

Since our products are made from as many natural ingredients as possible, we think it makes sense that most of our packaging is created from recycled materials, or is developed with recyclability and re-use in mind, like our easy-to-recycle aluminum containers.

We don't want to create any additional garbage on the planet, and work hard to reduce, reuse and recycle. For example, before we would launch our world famous lip balm in a plastic tube, it took us years to convince a plastic company to make recycled plastic for us. Now, that very same company is one of the leading manufacturers of recycled plastic.

And by the way, our packages are designed to hold just enough product for you to use up before it expires, so you don't end up throwing out half used tubes and jars. We're full of good ideas, naturally.

Burt's Bees is one of those companies that you hear the name and you know you can trust them. Why? Because they are exactly what they say they are. Natural. Earth Friendly. And in my opinion top quality.   

Not many companies make products you can trust with your entire family. But they do. I have had the opportunity to use many of their products over the years.  The Beeswax lip balm was the first product I ever used and I still use it to this day. 


Since I started my blog I have reviewed many items. Shea Butter has always been a favourite of mine. When I used Burt's Bees Fragrance free Shea Butter with Vitamin E I instantly loved it. So smooth and nice on my skin. 

I also (briefly) got to try the Tinted Lip balm. I say briefly because my teen quickly scooped this up for herself :) That alone should tell you what a cool product this is. I love it. The colour is perfect and the balm itself is really nice. I bet it is because it contains Shea Butter that we love it so much. Another item I got to try was the Naturally Ageless line Diminishing day lotion. This was very nice. I do not yet have lines that need diminishing but preventative care is always good. 

Burts Bees has come a long way since I purchased my first Beeswax lip balm. They have always continued to maintain their quality and  stay true to what they believe.
