Since then the tradition has carried on. we may live on the other side of the country, but our memories are relived every year while we celebrate. Monday January 23 is the Beginning of the year of the Dragon. To celebrate I had the opportunity to try some Chinese New Year inspired meals thanks to VH and PAM. I was delighted that my picky boys even loved them. One night I made a shrimp and noodle dish the other a beef and rice. Each had lots of veggies (must admit my son picked out the veggies)

Shrimp, bean and noodles with Garlic Hoisin
Beef, mixed veggies, rice and with the Tao sauce
You can create your own Chinese New Year meals after checking out the VH Chinese New Year tab on Facebook. Need a little help? well you have come to the right place. VH is giving away a pack to one lucky Canadian resident. You will get 2 PAM original cooking sprays and five sauces (valued at $35)I find the VH sauces to make every meal I made perfect. The combination or sweet, sour, hot and spicy are well balanced. I was surprised that all I needed for my big family was 1 jar. I had stopped using sauces in my meals because my kids were younger and a bit picky, but now knowing they are open to trying new things again makes me want to expand our meal choices more. Thank you VH for making our dinners exciting again.
