Lately I have been watching some teen flicks with my teens. They are usually good for a laugh. Sometimes they are a bit raunchy but mostly innocent good fun. Just like the teen movies from when I was a kid and those from generations before, the subject of a woman’s breasts are often brought up. Real or Fake? I wish I could say this was just a teen thing, but we even see it in other more “mature” movies and shows. Google it and you will see endless sites devoted to how to tell and more. My way of thinking is, who cares?

What a woman chooses to do to her body is ultimately her choice. We all have reasons for changing things whether it be our hair, teeth, nose or breasts. Self esteem is very important for ones feeling of pride and self worth and often people do not feel comfortable with themselves. I do not judge women for making these choices.

My feelings in general are a bit conflicted. Having a teen daughter, I would want to teach her to be happy with herself. I would not want her to make changes to herself and be happy with who she is. But then I see the flip side. When a woman feels confident and pride in herself she has more positive energy. We all have our own reasons for feeling the way we do and wanting what we want. I do not choose my colleagues and friends by their breasts, so why would I care if they are real or fake?

Of course when you watch movies the breast debate is always geared towards sexual jokes and thoughts. What about real life? Does it matter? Do men have a preference? If a woman chooses to makes a change even with the breast implants prices, it is her choice. Times have changed and implants look more natural these days. Myself I am on the other end and often feel I have too much on top. This causes buying clothes a bit difficult. One size on top, another on the bottom. So I can see why a woman would choose to have implants. we all have our own idea of what looks good and we all want to look our best. As long as she is making the decisions for her, than nothing else matters.
