Our youngest started junior kindergarten last week. She had been looking forward to going to school and making friends. She was as nervous as she was excited. When she came home I had the Play-Doh chalkboard set waiting for her. She saw it and loved it instantly. We have been trying to teach her how to recognize letters and numbers. So this was perfect timing.
My daughter loved this so much she did not allow me to take any pictures. Every time I went to snap one she would squish it down and make another creation. We rolled out the doh, cut out the numbers and made some fun school related items. We made an apple for the teacher, a book and some other stuff she had seen earlier that day at school. Playing together with this set gave us the opportunity to sit down in a relaxed way and talk about her day. Often when just talking she will take a long time to share what she did. With the Play-Doh chalkboard set she played out her day
And since I do not let her play with scissors, she was happy to see as set to cut her Play-doh included. So much fun for us both.
The plastic punch out numbers and shapes are the right size for little hands. The play-doh is brightly coloured and dd had a blast mixing some of them together to create her own colours.
Numbers are more fun with PLAY-DOH modeling compound! This colourful chalkboard set gives your child the tools to make numbers and shapes out of 4 different colours of PLAY-DOH modeling compound. In addition to helping your child learn about shapes and numbers, cutting, squeezing, and rolling PLAY-DOH compound helps children develop fine motor skills. Make the building blocks of learning fun with the more than 20 pieces in the PLAY-DOH Chalkboard Set!
This set is good for children aged 3 years and older. Available in stores across the country.
Do you have a favourite Play-Doh set? I always loved the hair styling set when I was a child. How about you?
