This year it is feeling to me like winter is coming early. There is a chill in the air and I predict a crazy winter. With all of my kids being in school we have the cold and flu germs in our house more than usual. I am hoping to avoid getting sick myself this year. However this combination of germs and weather will make if difficult. So I am taking action.
I am drinking fluids, and I started to take Swiss Naturals Echinacea. Echinacea is a traditional herbal medicine used to treat sore throats due to colds. The medicinal properties of this herb were originally discovered by the Native American’s many years ago. The two most potent species of this plant include Echinacea Angustifolia and Echinacea Purpurea. Reasons for taking include
- building up your immune system
- preventing and treating cold & flu
- upper respiratory track infection
Both men and women can take this but not for pregnant or nursing women.
The capsules look a bit big but are actually easy to swallow.
On top of all the above, I believe rest is great for your immune system as well. So be sure to get lots of it. With the kids in school I can not be too careful. Germs seem to gravitate to us. I do not want to be sick. If mommy gets sick the entire house is upside down.
How does it work?
- fight off colds, flus and infections
- support therapies that act to treat colds, flus, upper respiratory tract infections
- help relieve sore throat and other cold symptoms
How do you plan on fighting the cold and flu this season?
