Our go to place to staycation is Niagara Falls. We go every few weeks throughout the warmer months. And try to go a few times the rest of the year. It is far enough to feel like a getaway yet if needed, it can still be a day trip. But my best memories of Niagara Falls are when we can take it all in and spend the night. Recently I was able to do just that. Three of my children and me went for a fun filled two days in Niagara Falls and spent the night at Courtyard by Marriott.
Conveniently located on Victoria ave. within walking distance to many attractions, restaurants and Niagara Falls itself this was the perfect place to stay. Great for families or couples this newly renovated hotel has all you need and more. They have an exercise room, an indoor and outdoor pool with Jacuzzi and sauna as well as a game room. They also have the Keg located downstairs beside the lobby, perfect for drinks, grabbing a bite to eat or a buffet style breakfast.
We arrived earlier in the day and hung out at a few attractions. The Bird Kingdom was just a 5 minute drive away and it was still too early for check in. After we drove up and checked in. Check in was fast and easy. We parked the car in the attached parking area with ease. Lots of parking! This is a big thing in any tourist area. Entry to the building from side doors needs your room key as does entry to the pool and other guest areas. I like this security.
We then went up to our room and were in aw. I think the kids would have been happy spending the entire time in the family suite. A living room with patio door, sofa bed and TV as well as sitting area. Then a separate door to the large bedroom with two Queen size beds, another TV, desk, Comfy lounge chair and the bathroom. There was also another large window to look out onto the busy street. We are people watchers so it was fun. plus the view at night of the lights and attractions was amazing.
You’ll have plenty of space in this oversized, two-room suite, featuring one room with two Queen size beds. The second room is a living room with sitting area and pullout sofa. This spotless suite features two TVs and standard amenities such as coffee, coffee machine, iron, ironing board, in-room safe, etc. Complimentary WiFi. Sleeps eight people comfortably.
We had a lot of room for our belongings and to sleep.
That night we headed out to dinner at the Keg. You can see the Hotels website for package deals that include meal vouchers. Then to another attraction. When we got back it was too early for bed so we headed down to the pool. The pool is open late and was not very busy. Towels and change rooms are available as well. Our evening was wonderful. This tired mamma could not wait to fall asleep. We had leftovers from dinner stored in the in room fridge and DS went down to the lobby to buy some snacks. The next morning we all got ready, had the breakfast buffet at the Keg and headed out.
Our stay was fabulous from the moment we arrived. Close enough to walk where you would like to go or you can catch the bus just outside (WEGO).
Each room has its own temperature control. But I did request extra blankets as I seem to get colder than my children. The breakfast buffet downstairs at the Keg was really good. Lots of variety and Little one was free because of her age. This is definitely a place I would and have recommended again. My oldest is heading there soon with her boyfriend for a weekend getaway. If you are planning a visit to Niagara Falls Canada I suggest you check it out. Also be sure to check out the packages they offer as they have many discounts and extras.
Traveling with teens and a 5 year old we are often stuck trying to make everyone happy. We had no problem keeping busy, entertained and having fun while staying at the Courtyard Marriott Niagara Falls. It was great to have the separate room as well. This way there was privacy when needed and the little one could sleep while the others watched TV.
I have to show you the nachos my son ordered. They were the biggest plate of nachos I have ever seen. Full of chicken and cheese. Plus I loved how the guacamole and salsa came served in a shell.
Have you had the pleasure of staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Niagara Falls?
