With autumn comes Thanksgiving and many of us reflect on our lives and what we are thankful for. Personally I try to be thankful all year long. I have a wonderful family that loves me. I live in a beautiful and clean community. A safe place close to nature where my children can wonder freely and enjoy the fresh air whenever they want. I am thankful for my country and all the freedoms it brings. I am also thankful for my blog. An outlet that has allowed me to become a work from home mom. It means a lot to me to have flexible hours and be able to attend field trips and other events I would not if I worked elsewhere.
You may have seen me post recently about Fall and how much I love it. I like to look at Fall as a time to prepare for the winter. I do a big cleaning and get rid of anything the children have outgrown. This year, I got rid of something our entire family outgrew. Our towels that are old. Over this time we have accumulated a bunch of odd towels that no longer match. So when I was given the opportunity to go shop at Target for my home, I knew exactly what I needed.
As you can see, my old towels did not match. They were worn and frayed around the edges.
With my goal in mind I headed to the closest Target store to check out the FIELDCREST Luxury line. I had a good idea in my mind what I wanted. Neutral colours and towels that were big enough to cover my body, all of my body.
I looked at all the colour options and mixed and matched a bit. I wanted two colours that would compliment one another. With Thanksgiving approaching I knew I had guests coming over. New towels would clean up the bathroom perfectly! I was thrilled to see that this luxury line was extremely affordable, more so than I imagined.
I chose light brown bath sheets, hand towels and face clothes. I also picked up some white towels with tan stripe to go with them. Of course I did not stop at the towels. Target has a huge selection of items to decorate your bathroom. Shower curtains, toothbrush holders and more! Many different styles to fit whatever your budget may be.
We have two bathrooms and I kept the new towels for mine. They are fluffy, and clean and big so I wanted to keep them all to me. Selfish mommy, I know! The kids were not happy and have since used them 🙂 But they looked so nice hanging there when we had guests here for Thanksgiving. It is amazing how a few small changes can brighten up a room and change things. I am now #ThankFALL for my new bathroom as well.
Now that my bathroom is clean and made over I look forward to enjoying the last few weeks of Fall. The mild temperatures, the leaves below my feet and of course Halloween!

Love the look of the towels you chose! And you're right, little touches like fresh towels make a bathroom look great for guests.
