Espuña Tapas for Entertaining

With the warmer weather being here, we are entertaining outdoors more and more these days. I like to serve foods that are easy to serve, easy to eat and require very little prep! The less time I need to prep means the more time I have to entertain. Recently I was sent a marvelous collection of traditional Spanish-style cured meats and tapas from the Espuña Tapas Essentials collection.

Espuña, producer of traditional Spanish-style cured meats and tapas since 1947, has officially entered Canada with the launch of their Espuña Tapas Essentials collection, which includes 18 varieties of heat-and-serve and ready-to-serve traditional Spanish tapas.

The Espuña Tapas Essential product line features authentic Serrano Ham, Dates Wrapped in Bacon, and the classic Chorizo Salami – among others – and can be found at your local Longo’s Market. The products are ready to serve as is or they can be incorporated into any recipe of your choosing – whatever your heart desires.

These are the best hot tapas, ready in a minute microwaved. With little work you can enjoy having tapas with guests, as a couple or to pamper yourself alone. They are full of flavour and like nothing I have found before in packaged meats.

I also like that the meat doe snot have a salty taste like other cured meats I have tried. Great on its own or with cheese, crackers etc. The cured sliced ham was my fave! In the package it has plastic sheets between each piece making it easy to separate and remove.

I look forward to serving these to my guests throughout the summer and keeping the work for myself minimal. I know they will love it!

I especially like the idea of the Serrano Ham and Dates Wrapped in Bacon. In Germany ham was often separated with thin sheets of plastic, due to the fact that otherwise the extremely thin slices would tear apart whilst trying to separate them.

I have never heard of Tapas before. My family likes cured meats so this would be very popular with all of them. Thank you for telling us about them and I will be on the lookout for them.

I’ve never heard of these before but they look delicious. Are there recipes that you’re supposed to use these meats or just eat them as they are ?
