Fashion Tips for New Years Eve

New Year’s Eve is quickly going to be upon us, which means that many people are starting to think about what they will be wearing to ring in the new year. If it’s really true that what you spend the evening doing is reflective of how your new year will go, you definitely don’t want to be celebrating in lax style. Below are some great fashion tips for New Years eve in case you plan on heading out to a party this year. I know I can surely use the tips!

New Years eve fashion tips

Silver and gold accents

That little black dress can get played up easily with gold and silver accents, like a bet or large jewelry. Want even more sparkle? Add a sequined jacket or cardigan over the top of a dress or blouse.

Go big and bold

Lard jewelry, big hair, sky-high heels, and long eyelashes will add oomph to any outfit. Get a little bolder and bigger this year with your look and your attitude.

Prints that pop

Who said it has to be all matchy and plain? Try some bold prints that really stand out, like red leopard print leggings, or geometrically designed shirts. It doesn’t matter the pattern, really, as long as it stands out.

Get laid back

You don’t have to go over the top with your clothing to have fun and look great this year. You can don a pair of skinny jeans, a plain t-shirt, a nice cardigan, and some tennis shoes and still look fabulous. It is all about how you wear your clothing and what type of style you present. Comfort goes a long way to make someone look great.

Wear pants

Dresses are great, but you can bet everyone will be wearing one this year. Have you considered pants? They can be in any shape, size and color, as long as you look and feel great in them. Plus, they give more protection form the cold and allow more movement.

Colours can be cool

Going to a black tie event? Note that black tie doesn’t always mean “black and white” clothing. Add in some color! A pale pink dress, or even a cool navy hue, will really make you stand out.

Show some leg

Instead of covering up, show off! Short shorts with a blazer and heels, or even a mini dress with some sexy panty-hose or tights, can make heads turn as you turn up the heat in your fashionable ensemble.

Every year I dream about going out and ringing in the year in a fun and exciting way. But to be honest, chances of me staying home, drinking wine and being in my PJs before 10 pm is more likely.

How do you ring in the New Year? Any fashion advice you would like to share?
