As a family, we try to spend as much time as possible outdoors. If we have good weather, that is usually where you will find us. Our province and country has endless opportunities for us to enjoy the great outdoors. Parks, lakes, trails and even side streets make for amazing walks any time of day. Since discovering Poise liners, I have been happily spending more times outside my comfort zone and walking farther and longer than I have ever before. Not needing to have a bathroom within eyesight and not worry about the onset of leaks that often comes with physical exercise is new to me and really allowing me to step outside my comfort zone.
This summer when the heat was not too bad, we went hiking through the mountains. My kids are full of energy and very active and spenda lot of time exploring our surroundings. I had one major goal when I turned 40: to be able to keep up with them! This past summer I think I reached that goal. We took a chair lift up the mountain and hiked for over 5 kms one sunny day. Canada has some amazing landscapes and no matter what time of year it is, it is great to be outside. walking is one of my favourite ways to get active and get exercise. It is great for my heart and lets me be active at my own pace. Plus, when I can get out with the family, we share an experience that we all remember for a life time.
